The LFA, where should I start? The Lexus LFA is an incredible car, that came too late. The first LFA prototype was released in 2003, in 2005 the first official concept car was revealed at the North American International Auto Show in January. It had a glass rooftop that was pretty incredible at that time. In 2007-2008 another concept was made. The car was going to have a V10 hybrid powertrain and was going to have a V8 option too.The final official concept was released in 2008, it had a V10, and it was claimed to go 200mph. In 2009 Lexus finally unveiled the production car. The LFA had a 4.8L V10 (it wasn’t a hybrid). Some say it’s the best sounding car ever. The Lexus LFA was incredible, but it had so many problems releasing that by the time it was revealed there was the Audi R8 and Nissan R35 GTR. The concept was ahead of its time, but the production car was just as fast as an R8. The price tag on the LFA was insane, the Audi R8 was priced around $114,000, and the LFA was $400,000. Overall the LFA was an incredible car and definitely an icon.
$400,000 is a lot of 💰for Toyota.
Any suggestions on what cars to talk about next?
Have a great day.
